Career Guidance Program at Sundarrao More College
Numerous career opportunities available in the field of law – Principal Adv Preeti Bondre
Poladpur, March 15, 2022 Career guidance programmed for college students was recently organized in Sundarrao More College of Arts, Commerce and Science College Poladpur jointly by Commerce Association and Career Guidance Cell of the college. At the beginning of the program, the principal of the college Dr. Deepak Raverkar welcomed all the dignitaries and key mentors and said that the students in the rural areas are deprived of the best career opportunities in the law field as they are not aware of the career opportunities in the field of law. Principal Dr. Raverkar mentioned that students will get updated information about various new careers.
At the event, Adv Preeti Bondre, Principal, Siddha Yoga Law College, Khed-Ratnagiri, in her keynote address, noted that there is a misconception among students, especially in rural areas, that a career in the law field is limited to practicing law in court. She said that due to such misconceptions, students are being deprived of the best career opportunities in the field. Law officers in various departments of the government, as well as lawyers in law firms and solicitor firms, various positions in law departments in various national and multinational companies, legal advisors in banks and financial institutions, etc. are the career opportunities available for the college students. For this, students are urged to adopt mastery of Marathi and English language, in-depth knowledge of law and continuous hard work. Adv Bondre said at the end of her speech.
In this program, Ad Kshitij Gimhavanekar, Senior Professor, Siddha Yoga Law College, informed the students about the three year LLB course available after graduation. Students were given detailed information about the common entrance examination for this course, the technical matters to be fulfilled for it, the nature of the examination and the study to be done for it and the useful reference books. Prof. Ketki Athavale from Siddha Yoga Law College also graced the occasion. At the end of the program, Prof Sanjay Kasbe thanked everyone. A large number of students including Prof. Sunil Gawli, Head of Career Guidance Department and Prof. Dr. Sudarshan Davane were present for this event.
